Today's Man Unveils New Prototype Design with Grand Opening of Springfield, VA Store
New Location Highlights Total Menswear Solutions Provided by Today's Man Brand
MOORESTOWN, N.J., Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Unveiling its new prototype design and introducing the menswear store for the next millennium, Today's Man (Nasdaq: TMAN - news), announced today the opening of its latest location in Springfield, VA. The 17,500-square-foot superstore, located at the Springfield Mall, is better arranged, provides easier navigation and takes the branding of Today's Man to the next level with a singular identity through all aspects of merchandise presentation and marketing.

Featuring a cleaner, more spacious design, supported by a state-of-the-art replenishment system, the prototype contains the same amount and breadth of merchandise as the Company's traditional 25,000-square-foot locations. The Today's Man prototype provides an easy-to-shop experience while promoting cross shopping and total menswear solutions. The Springfield store also inaugurates new signage, fixturing and product displays that highlight the quality and value of Today's Man merchandise as well as offering fashion tips and suggestions on how to dress for a range of business and social settings.

''The opening of our new Springfield location signals the launch of the Today's Man prototype, an innovative new concept which emphasizes a convenient and enjoyable shopping experience and focuses on our strategy of building the Today's Man brand,'' said David Feld, Chairman and CEO of Today's Man. ''From the clothing to the presentation and marketing messages, the prototype is the essence of the Today's Man brand. The store also represents the first step in our growth plans for the vibrant Washington, D.C. market which will see us open two more stores in coming weeks, solidifying our position as the leading menswear retailer in the area.''

The Company is scheduled to open new prototype stores at the Milestone Center in Germantown, MD, at Borders' Plaza in Sterling, VA and at the Towson Marketplace in Towson, MD, the Company's first Baltimore location, later this month. Today's Man will also begin introducing the prototype's redesigned signage, fixtures and product display to its existing locations as the initial stage of a Company-wide store remodeling program.

The Springfield Mall is one of the region's most popular and high traffic shopping destinations. Today's Man will join mall anchors and major superstore retailers including Macy's, JC Penney, Sports Authority and Linens 'n Things as well as other area retailers including Victoria's Secret, County Seat, Lechter's and Men's Wearhouse.

The Company will also be bringing the quality and value of the Today's Man brand to the Internet later this month with the launch of its online menswear superstore at todaysman.com.
