(OT) Lee, RE: ML Unlimited Advantage

The MINIMUM annual fee is $1500. If you had $1 mil in equities your fee would be $10,000. Currently, you can't daytrade a stock online. You can only do one side of the transaction online and then call your FC to do the other. This is supposed to be changed in the future.

Currently, you have to talk to a person to short a stock. Execution reports are fairly quick but entering orders is a two screen process for each trade. The online system does not update balances intraday, so you may have to go through your FC if you want to buy something that exceeds you purchasing power at the beginning of the day.

ML Direct charges $29.95 per trade. From what I currently understand, it is separate from Unlimited Advantage.
