LT, RE: shorting a mania is akin to gambling Nah, not really. The key is not to focus on valuation. As you well know, an 'overvalued' stock can remain overvalued for a very long period of time. The key is to wait until there is a deterioration in fundamentals to go along with the overvaluation.
