Goutama,

<If true, does this mean AMD is preparing to release another higher speed grade of Athlon as well as higher speed grades of k6-X by that time frame?>

I would think so.

<Also, regarding Intel's Q4 guidance of increased ASP and margins, how exactly they are going to achieve this -
by not being as aggressive in price cuts as before or by selling large number of Coppermine chips (Kash suggested that Intel can easily ramp to 10M Cumine cpus - I feel, Intel may have tough time selling that many cumines in just two months of Q4), or both? >

I may have missed it but I do not think Intel provided guidance for higher ASPs. Higher margins can be accomplished by moving to a richer product mix. (ship higher ASP products or lower cost products or both).

I doubt if Intel can cross 5Mu CuMines for Q4 (my guess is 3Mu is more likely) but I don't have much basis to argue with anyone on that point. It is strictly an opinion based on experience.

<Which scenario (applied to raising the ASP) would bode well for AMD?>

Generally speaking AMD would benefit if Intel shoots for higher ASPs instead of market share. For Q4, I am not sure it matters that much. Most of Q4 happens in October. I would be watching the October ASP trends and watching closely how CuMine launch is going to get a stronger feeling of how the quarter is going.

<Another question that's good for discussion, is Intel going to see more competition in Chipsets and Motherboards because of VIA's Apollo Pro133? I think, OEMs that are going with VIA's solution are going with their own motherboards>

Given how late the CuMine platform is introduced, it is very difficult to tell how things will go. Steve already posted the rumor about VIA incompatiblities with CuMine.
