Well, I suppose I may as well directly comment, despite my resolve to stay off of this thread for awhile. First, though, I would like to note that, according to Morris, Reagan had security clearance, and when he was Post Adjutant handled a lot of classified material. In fact, it is likely that he was privy to early reports about the extermination camps, because he began to become more agitated on the subject of anti- semitism, quit his country club when he discovered it was restricted, and joined the "Jewish" country club. He also did work with footage from the camps.....
.....On the other issue: no one is thin- skinned, but the experience of being ganged up on is always unpleasant, and if one is not in the mood to fight all the time, there aren't many choices. And yes, I did come over primarily because I was sick of the way Michael Cummings was treated. He did not complain, I did it on my own, so there is no sense for anyone to sneer at him. Certainly, I put up with an awful lot of crap for a long time, so it was not for the good conversation.... |
