Thanks for the voice of reason. SYMC is a fantastic value play. Great company. Great products. As you point out, pristine balance sheet. Best position for the building conversion to NT. CYE can join the fray, but remember--they announced that they are only developing utilities and virus programs for NT. SYMC already has them. CYE seems to be 8 to 12 months late.

I originally bought at 14 7/8. Averaged down at 12 3/8. I was kicking myself, too, but for a different reason: I was wishing I had added more to my position when SYMC hit 17. This current dip is an excellent opportunity to grab shares of a company that could hit 30 in 12 to 18 months.
