Brian, I assume that I am one of, what, 300-1000 (?) million Microsoft registered customers (and I assume they will all receive this email). I am very technology impaired. In fact, I went to their web site and was totally confused. I think a vast majority of folks who use MS software are not comfortable that they understand the implications of Y2K. This email may increase their feeling that the Y2K problem is beyond their control. And maybe, Y2K could cause problems beyond their home PC. I'm just saying this is not comforting to me, maybe the other millions of MSFT software users will respond better to this warning. John
