The story of sndk's nomination is a valuable object lesson for the newer Gorilla Hunters. The lesson is timing related.

SNDK opened trading at 14 1/8 on 1/4/99
It's nomination was completed (post #2551) on 6/12/99

The majority decision was that ausdauer had made an incredible presentation, but that sndk was a Shiny Pebble.

SNDK opened at 32 3/8 on 6/14/99
SNDK hit a 52 week high of 95 3/4 on 8/25
SDNK closed today at 46, and has been reported below 40 in the after market.

If you bought sndk at the beginning of the year, you'd have a fabulous 226% ytd return.

If you bought sndk the morning after ausdauer's presentation, you have an excellent 42% return as of today's close.

If you bought sndk at the beginning of the year and sold on 8/25, your return could be as high as 578%!

If you bought sndk any time after 7/2/99, which was the time it traded below 46, you are upside down and may have unwittingly made a long term investment.

The only problem with non-Gorilla investments is that you have to make 2 decisions correctly: when to buy and when to sell. With Gorillas, you need only buy and hold LT.

No disrespect to sndk longs is intended,
uf
