[ MB- DSL stock trends ]
After your Margin Call post I read all of your posts on SI. I Truly enjoyed the content of most, wish "you" could read this entire thread that easy :^) I'm glad to see another DSL sailor, welcome aboard.
I see that your beginning to understand these DSL'ers do not fall into the average stock category. Sure looked like Amati had support at $10. Huh?
In your last post you seem to understand there are forces at work on WSTL and Amati. Don't fail to watch PAIR. These stocks followed each other last year very closely, from Mar through NOV. You can use comparison charts, or just over lay 13 month charts of the three, and hold them up to a light, crude but it works.
<<WTSL>> >>Has anyone been watching the volume lately?? Seems kind of low. How many sellers at this price can really be left in the market?<< I don't know but they'll keep it coming down, until all the stops are out, and everyone uninformed and running scared sell's, or margins are hit. This trend has happened a few times. Sounds like the old Limbo Song "How Low can you go"
Up until this point with WSTL hitting $10. a little while ago, while Amati held her ground, now Amati hitting below $9. I did not feel extreamly confident about seeing a rally like last year. Now IMO I think it is very possible. Following the trends of these 3, was my first experience at watching any stocks closely. Who or what moves them, is a mystery, but it is not IMO normal buy & sell / supply & demand. I have been in the DSL waters since JAN96.
Since your soaking up the sun in those matching lawn chairs on the Deck of The USS WSTL, can you check out below deck and see if indeed she and Amati are what I suspect, Submarines? They sure act like it.
I'm waiting for them to head towards the surface again, I'm sure they need a fresh supply of air soon.
<<WSTL>> >>It is rather gutrenching to watch these stocks. Just a while ago AMTX was holding up great while Westell was drinking gutter water, but for some insane reason (i.e. MAD BOMBER), I averaged down on my Westell and have been rewarded already. AMTX may afford the same opportunity soon as it bottoms out (10 seems to be a strong support level). I think the key here is to keep an eye on the big picture (i.e. market for ADSL ion general in the future) and not let the market force an emotional decision.<<
Yep ! Big Picture.. Long Term. Went from Speculative Technology in 1Q 96, to Very Real Technology (VRT), Real Quick when you think about it..
Patience truely is a vertue.
Thanks for adding to the thread. JW@KSC
