RE: MSFT and handset division. You did not mention the additional fact that MSFT showed off a web-enabling phone in Geneva this week. If this came to pass, two things would be certain: 1) MSFT has no prior allegiances or commitments in the mobile phone area (same for someone like Compaq) 2) MSFT has tons of cash to throw at this business Another thought - MSFT management must see the end of their "exclusive franchise" down the road and the need to get into another winning game. CDMA wireless may be that game. Well it is interesting to speculate about.
