Here is a cancer breakthrough: Scientists have created cancer-resistant mice by deleting certain genes ? an advance that could lead to new drugs for wiping out tumors in people. The genes, Id1 and Id3, are vital for the development of blood vessels that provide nourishment to tumors, in a process called angiogenesis. Without the blood supply, the tumor shrinks and dies.
