intc earned 42 cent after substracting charges..that is the bottom line...they are trying to says revenues rose 9%..2% of that was from the acquisitions....so they try to make it 55 cents (without counting costs) but have the revenue include the acquisition revenue (2%) they didn't count the cost for...>

Revenues (or lack thereof) are recurring. The cost of the acquisition is not. Since comparisons are done year over year, and quarter to quarter, at what point should the revenues be included? If not this quarter, when? If it is next quarter, for example, you simply delayed the "bullshit accounting" by one quarter. If you are an accountant (I am not) please explain. Also explain what you mean by "future profits"?
