Jane, as you well know, I have been bullish on cs as a LONG TERM INVESTMENT for some time. I have absolutely no doubt that it will get taken out one day. However, having said that, my position against expecting a buyout "any day now" is well documented. I have repeatedly warned on this thread against the "cs will go this week sometime or certainly this coming monday" mentality. Tim was preaching the any day buyout hype since May until he lost the faith as he is prone to do now and again for no clear reason and then found his cs religion and renewed his evangelistic efforts with increased vigor. I must confess that I am looking for a buyout soon myself but once again warn that it might come, if it comes, next spring, next summer, or maybe not ever. My gut level instinct tells me that we are likely gone by Xmas but I have been wrongly expecting a buyout for 2 years. I see little real downside risk for this stock, but if the newbies have all their investment capital in this stock, and they are looking for current market opportunties they they may well want to lighten up on cs and hold a core position and free funds for trading. Just my two cents worth, and as always, take it with a TON of salt.
