Briefing. I saw it today as long as you understand the source for the dates has to be either from Net Earnings or from First Call or possibly IBES.. so even if the calendar is great (so is the calendar of vcall) its the source of the dates thats crucial. The other stuff should be free, (I get free).. but I'll test this one there is no sense all subscribers pay the extra $6.95 a month. I don't expect we'll have too many problems because traders even investors are increasingly aware of the dangers of holding even great stocks (i.e. Raytheon, MAT, RAD, ANF) without clear idea of when their company reports earnings or if they reported a shortfall. I certainly would want to know even if I were a long term holder.

Then there is the question of the entire month. You probably won't find more than a week's earnings in briefing or at most 2 weeks.. we had the whole October calendar up by mid September and there are not too many sources although I would have played the newsletter stocks first then worked my way to the calendar stocks by the first week of October. By then there would be more sources so we can get an adequate comparison. Also as pressure is being put upon companies like First Call, they will likewise put pressure on Investor Relations departments that they 'mean business' and the companies won't be lax on their report dates.

Susan, even the great Siebel systems did not know when they would be reporting and I spoke with them yesterday. The problem won't be solved overnight, but it will be solved pretty soon. I can see it in sites just like briefing, marketwatch, wallstreet city, Hoovers, Bloomberg etc..
