....IF America as a nation, was set up by... oh let's say Shiite Muslims, does ANYONE feel they would have freedom of religion now? Well, I'd bet against it. Still I can't explain what made the founding fathers do a better job than their Christian cousins and forefathers in Europe had done in the previous 1400 years. I don't really disagree with much of what you had to say. As to America as a blessing or a curse to the world - looking at the big picture, definitely a blessing. Democratic government, the destruction of the Nazi and Japanese empires, the holding back of Communism are a few reasons. Bruce
