Hey Maintenance and Brian...
As a sidebar to that old QLT conversation here's how it all played out:.

As I had mentioned I stopped them at $99.70....they wondered why not $100.00 and I said "trust me" you don't want to be at $100 just incase there is a shake or selling out....$100 will be the mark to bounce if there will be....

so...what happened?...well...after about 1 month....QLT was trading at about $112 - 120.....then the shake occured.....she dropped like a stone from $121 right down to....wait for it....wait.....wait........$100 on THE NOSE!
Never under and they were not stopped out.....
then it rose again to over $120 and just split 2 for 1 last week. Now trading at $65.50 and going strong.......Nice hit for them and they now think I don't have my head up my ass when it comes to trading stocks. LOL

I appreciated Brian's advice and eventhough his thoughts of selling at that moment in hindsight would not have been correct.....the thought to sell at that time MADE SENSE and I was leaning there too. The best I could do was to get them to stop themselves at under $100.....as it turns out...it was a the right move...
Now, I am facing resistance on putting in a new stop on the shares again.......some things never change. :o)

thanks again guys for your help.
