Yes he was. A wonderful example of social pressure, he said. No man could get a job or get elected anything without the approval of the klan. He said he was wrong, and showed it by his brilliant series of civil rights opinions and votes. CJ Warren promoted the expulsion of the Japanese at the start of WWII. He learned and became the greatest SCt leader for civil rights.
