It seems we currently have three options for increased bandwidth.
1. POTS - i.e ISDN, ADSL, HSDL

2. Cable

3. Wireless - satellite digital

What I am much less clear on are the limitations of each. This information
seems to have a large bearing on which technology wins out, and in what time frame.
For instance I have read/heard the following:

1. ADSL - Limited distance at high transfer rates.

2. Cable - Need fiber optics. Will take 25 yrs. to complete, aprox. 15% of subcribers have fiber optics.

Can anyone provide more information on the limitations of these technologies?

Thanks
Elf
