After scutinizing this deal for a couple of days now, I too believe the new company (to be the 3rd largest) will be a powerhouse and the value will come back to shareholders many-fold.

The combined strength and borrowing power of the two will IMHO lead to more acquitions, more strength, more value etc.

Long-term, I like it and am willing to wait and see, short-term we all take a hit and most; I said most, people on the SI boards do tend to think or at least percieve short-term, myself included. It is easy to get caught up in the moment.

Time will tell.
