Harry,
Thank you for bringing the Fortune article to our attention. As you know I am not a big fan of IBM's Lou Gerstner. He may be credited with bringing IBM back to profitability, but it is my opinion, he has not placed IBM on a clear course for the future, other than to reinforce IBM as a major player in the lower margin services business. The article shows me very few positive, or innovative, decisions that can be attributed to Gerstner, with the exception of his surgical skills in cutting excess personnel. I compare this lack luster Fortune article on LG to the one on Andy Grove. For sure Lou Gerstner is no Andy Grove and it sure makes me very happy to be long on Intel and remain crossed hedged with IBM Puts.
