Some other questions to add....when the threads you are ordinarily interested in do not have any new posts for you to read how often do you then look at the hot threads link?

How often do you then go to one of the hot threads even when it is some remote topic that really shouldn't concern you? For that matter how is it that you already discovered this thread you friggin SI-holic.
