My transfer driver problem....the continuing (and maybe ending) story.

Called Astragate.net and got through to technical support. David there had me type some DOS commands, saying that what happened was when I downloaded another program (most probably NetZero, BTW, which wouldn't even download the program properly when I tried it several times --DON'T TRY NETZERO IF YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT HAVING THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!) that it reconfigured by Windows '98. He had me type some DOS commands-- ren and exe and config were involved. ;-)

Now the error messages don't occur when I boot up. I do have a couple of messages that don't seen good- something like Search for Boot record on floppy- not there Search for boot record ... not there... or something like that... is that bad?

I'll have to go back to the NDis thing in Network in My Computer and see if it still has a yellow exclamation mark on it. Is that bad if it does?

Well, don't know if that made any sense or not. BTW, the Astragate guy told me that my problem was really an emachine problem and I should have called them. Hmmmmm. So Gottfried, I wouldn't try downloading NetZero ver. 2 if you haven't done so already.

Well, going to see about that exclamation mark in NDis....
