It's interesting for Tice to make comments that somewhat echoed my concerns last month.

This speculation by Tice is indeed interesting, but it's hard to tell which side is correct. Management has denied it, and other analysts have released reports backing them up, but I've found that managements don't always tend to be upfront when dealing with issues that can hammer the stock. They usually only beg for forgiveness after the fact, and by then, it's too late for all of us.

Accounting irregularities is a big no-no, and many fund managers who have been burned by them in the past have learned to trim down their allocations in such stocks--arguing with the market has tended to be a money-losing proposition. It seems to be a "sell now, ask questions later" type of reaction.
