Rick: I know this is off topic but it is -11*C in Montreal this morning. If I went out back and fired up a roto-till I think the blades would disintegrate.

Speaking of deep freezes, my beloved T MAN is all the way down around $8.30 (C) this morning. Pre Bre-X it was pushing $12.00. Will this week be the worst? If I can keep the margin at bay I will be very happy just to be invested by the summer.

When I look at many charts in junior golds I see a (general) downtrend since May 1996. Somewhere in the back of my mind I am wondering if gold has begun to lose its shine as some economists have claimed. I am aware there are two sides to this issue, and each believes they are correct. Ron, as an "experienced" investor, do you think this is just a bear like all other bears or is it a perma-bear?
