Mang,

I tried your URL...it didn't take me anywhere. I'm not sure what issue you're responding to. Is it the argument regarding COMS history in communications products?

As for your specific question:

What do you think "discrete networking products" means ?

My understanding of discrete (and I just looked it up again just to be sure...I have to be very careful these days <vbg>) is that this means "individually distinct, consisting of individual unconnected parts". So for example having a router and a LAN switch and a NIC business but independent business - not integrated unlike a complete intergrated end to end LAN or WAN solution.

Is that your understanding as well? What am I missing?
