Gary, sorry for not making myself clearer. That was in respond to your question about my saying "coms was started out as a nic company" - which you didn't agree. That piece of description clearly stated that coms started out as a 'discrete products' seller which means Netswork interface cards. I am sure coms made other products in its early days too but nics was by far its major products for a long time. I think coms was even a computer maker at one time - that's why the name Three Com - "computer, communication and compatibility". Eric took over 3com, disbanded some divisions, bought some companies and turned it around.

Now an easy question, why is Cisco called Cisco ?
