Cory, are you dogging my posts?
RE <<<Interesting your comments on DSP, especially the stock price movement coming from someone who obviously is a fanatic to religious proportions over a loser like AMD.>>
I am hardly a fanatic....if my AMD shares dropped 8% below what I paid for them I would be out of them in a second. I think Burt said it best, the race is the attraction....and I like the underdog's grit even if provides people like you with the opportunity to call it a loser.
RE <<Have you read any of the comments regarding AMD while it's stock has dropped, obviously you have.>>
Yes, I have learned that most people follow the crowd and its easier to slash and burn then to do or see anything else. If and when AMD starts to make $ again....and that's how things work, no matter how good you or your product are, only then will it get acclaim and adoration....two things I don't need or care about.
RE <<< DSP had profits of only 9.5 million in recent quarter. Thats only 124 million better in the quarter than AMD.>>
Get it, man; I owned DSP probably long before you had heard of it. Great company and I made some very nice profits off of it. So what's your point? It made all that $ so it has to be good.....not necessarily. Like I said in another post, there had been talk that their products were not state of the art anymore....its why I exited the stock; its why I did not go back in when it dropped to 18. I do not have a tech background so I have to listen whenever there is talk of product obsolescence (and get real cautious).
BTW Level One, another intc acquisition and another former stock I owned, got a downgrade the day it was bought by intc....the stock fell and then went up when the intc announcement came through. Its a matter of public record; find out why it was downgraded.
RE <<<Also, you and your fellow jihad mates accusing Intel of not following standard accounting practices is hilarious. Of course their accounting practices aren't scrutinized, the SEC lets Intel do what they want, right?>>>
Apparently you do not read very well. It was D. Pauly in an article in Bloomberg that brought up the issue. But the only reason I care about this sh*t at all is because your fellow longs come to this thread and brow beat us about every positive, intc particular and have bragged ad infinitum about intc's profits. And then Pauly came along and questioned the validity of those profits. Frankly the one who should be caring and checking things out (instead of trying to trash an AMD poster) is YOU.
