to answer your question, if i own over 2,500 shares of a stock long and have become very familiar with it's trading patterns over a fairly long period of time, then what is wrong with holding my long position and trading short term on the dips ? i dont understand your issue ..
furthermore, if you like you say now (60) is a good buying level and it should go up from here, then i miss this particular buying opportunity, right now. thats ok, there will be others.. but, i would rather wait to hit it at 47 or so and minimize my downside risk. if you personally feel this is the time to get in, i certainly wish you the best of luck. august through the end of october is a tough season for techs.
