Could you be more specific as to the source of this rumor?
This stock has a history of very slimey offshore (Cayman Islands)
deals. I believe there is a large supply of preferred shares given
to offshore people in exchange for cash loans. As the price of SALV
has not been high enough to convert these preferred shares for some time, I would expect there is a large backlog of stock waiting to be dumped into the market.
An internet buyout rumor would be a nice way to get the price up
so the stock can be dumped. It is worth noting that SALV in seriously
late in filing their latest quarterly reports. I would be very careful
with this one. In the past this stock as been nothing but a means of
moving investors money into offshore bank accounts. The only PR they
ever put out that was true was the one announcing the reverse split.
