Sorry, but this made me feel a bit uneasy...

>>>Need some Divine Intervention? Tired of all the conjecture on SI from self-serving gurus? Need to find out where your stock is headed? Well here's your chance! Direct your comments straight to the Almighty, because hey you probadly have the same chance of His answering as you do making money reading everyone elses unfounded opinions.<<<

God is good and God is great; But how exactly does God fit in with the pursuit of personal riches? After reading the above the first thing that popped into my head was the old Janice Joplin song:

----------------------------------------------------------
Oh Lord, wont you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends.
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So Lord, wont you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

Oh Lord, wont you buy me a color T.V. ?
Dialing For Dollars is trying to find me.
I wait for delivery each day until three,
So oh Lord, wont you buy me a color T.V. ?

Oh Lord, wont you buy me a night on the town ?
Im counting on you, Lord, please dont let me down.
Prove that you love me and buy the next round,
Oh Lord, wont you buy me a night on the town ?

Everybody!
Oh Lord, wont you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?
My friends all drive Porsches, I must make amends,
Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from my friends,
So oh Lord, wont you buy me a Mercedes Benz ?

Psalm 37:27
Turn from evil and do good;
Then you will always live securely.

Psalm 37:13-17
But the Lord laughs at the wicked,
for he knows their day is coming.
The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow
to bring down the poor and needy,
to slay those whose ways are upright.
But their sowrds will pierce their own hearts,
and their bows will be broken.
Better the little that the righteous have
than the wealth of many wicked;
for the power of the wicked will be broken,
but the Lord upholds the righteous.
