yeah, and linux is a "platform" i can download off of the net for free. my point is that if there was a nice story to tell about the "revenue" growth of the JAVA "platform" sun.com would be telling it. if you call up palm or psion or msft they will tell you, we get x$ for palm os, we get x$ for ce, or we get x$ for Epoc. Or at least analsyts figure it out. sun.com doesn't tell you. and the anyslsts haven't figured it out. PS: If i buy a nokia phone, i will pay nokia, and palm, and psion. How many "platforms" am i or you gonna pay for? where's the beef? how much of the cost of this phone gets shot back to mr press release by the cash pistol?
