Actually, futures are probably down more in fear of what the PPI numbers will be tomorrow than due to anything AG said. If I read his remarks right, (always difficult with his convoluted hyperbole), all he is really saying is that the marketplace is now a riskier place for investors than it was a few years ago because of the big run-up in equity values and that financial institutions (and presumably individual investors) should make damn sure they have the financial reserves to withstand any market panic, to insure that desperation selling does not exacerbate any such decline. In other words, you best not be too "margined" and you should enough cash to weather such financial storms without having to divest yourself in a panic mode. Anyone have a different take on the "great balding one's" pronouncements?
