Well I am looking all over for news also since most of what is being spun as the reason we have known on this thread for almost a year. Only things I have found so far is a rumor floating that Goldman Sachs id 2 billion in the hole due to gold positions and worry about Pakistan defaulting on 34 billion due to latest coup.

Maybe there are other funds in trouble and Goldman is only the tip of the iceberg. No idea but I am still looking. With futures down so much, I assume the Plunge protection team will come out and buy before the open unless the Goldman rumors are true in which case, even if the fed does try to feed them cash, they will just use it to bail themselves out of jail <ggg>
