Jeff - So, your point is??? The vast majority of software projects are late. It's wonderful to know that there are indeed well run software projects out there... but think of the advantages you have... family owned, minimal turnover in personal (I assume), far from the hurly burly of the big city & the attraction to walk across the street to a different job. What's the average company tenure of project managers & programmers? What's annual turnover (leaving) of technical staff? I'm not saying that doing software projects on time doesn't happen... it's just in the minority. The 35+ year veteran I used to work with guesstimated that perhaps 15% of firms he'd been into (probably 60% of the Fortune 500) had a noticably well run IT effort. Who knows, perhaps, just perhaps computers just aren't all that important... social welfare for mental over achievers? - David
