Jim, The sophistication of OptionSimulator/RT is the reason I wanted to start this thread to try to learn from other users. The scan section is as stated in the help section one of the hardest areas to grasp, but it is very powerful and logical once you figure out how to use it. You might contact Rudi and see if he will give you a second trial period, it seems that each time the program is upgraded, additions to the help screens are made. If so let's try to learn how to do scans together. As for the book, The Options Course, it is great to understand his approach. It is based on his program Option Simulator which is a cut down version of the real time version, but the approach is the same. Harold
