In the early 20th century, only people made investment decisions. But during the last several decades, computers make investment decisions along side the humans.

People are unpredictable and adaptive. Computers programs, on the other hand, are highly predictable and repetitive.

Looking at the correlations, I wonder if the computer programs are such a big component of day to day trading that the markets are simple re-executing the 1987 behavior!

Does any one know how much of the trading volume is computer driven and how much is human driven...
