Been thinking about this one alot. Why is it that we can weather thru most other storms in the year, but EVERY year it seems that Oct causes a large correction. Seems to me that something is broken big time in this. I would tie it to something else we don;t understand (or know aobut yet) that is doing it, like the MMs trying to adjust the yearly cap gains distributions to be a particular amount or tyring to get year end results to some level they need. Why is it that these large corrections ALWAYS happen in Oct? I claim that AG and his crowd are messing up the system by pushing hte level of fear in this month up. They have a responsilbity to help smooth this over and not CAUSE it.

Why not move a few of the fundamental reoprts by a month or so to smooth this out, rahter than have PPI and jobs and interest adjustments and god knows what else all at the very same couple of weeks.
