exactly, len.

signed up smoothly, sent a test email, it worked, then access denied. there is an incredible hodge-podge of terms, from name to username to alias to password. they do not inform you when you sign up that your 'name', as entered, will appear in all of your email headers. hell, i thought SI was asking me for my name. then then started tossing around the 'alias' word like that was supposed to make sense to me.

the 'help' page (and i use that term very reluctantly) directs you back to password hint. dumb! and here's why. #1, i didn't forget my password. their email already worked once with it! they need that darn hint, not me.... they seem to have forgotten it. and #2 dumbness regarding 'password hint'... they don't make it mandatory that you enter a hint when you sign up, so why send you back there as a remedy?

the irony of it all is found in the last line written on the tech support email that took 5 days to arrive and was of no help whatsoever:

"Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you in the future."

click!
