Two - count them - TWO postings!

I was tempted to post last night. But, I was curious just how long this question would go with no response.

<Slow and steady> says it all about DS.

I agree DS is <too diversified> to catch any of the waves of hype in this market. However, I have always considered this a factor contributing to this company being rock solid. Years ago I spoke with somebody at DS and they mentioned that the inability of many on wall street to understand their diversity and product strategy has caused them to be overlooked. At the time they noted they were attempting to better communicate their strategy.

I love their products. They are innovators in many areas. Yet, I become frustrated that they seem to be consistently overlooked because they can't be put in a box by saying they are a NVRAM company, timekeeping, microcontroller, communications, etc. company. They are ALL those things. At DS diversity is a strength. (sounds like an add campaign). I'd rather own a company that is flexible enough to sell into whatever market segment is currently the strongest. I have seen this happen with DS.

Other than investor perception, do you see anything inherently wrong with their diversified product strategy?

I'm happy to know I'm not alone on these dead threads. I just keep checking to see if others have or will recognize the success and potential of this company.
