Yes, it gave me a nice warm happy feeling to see a week like this on Wall Street, after years of seeing stock prices, particularly on Internet companies, go to insane levels, years of stupid people making comments like, "So, if you're not in the stock market, what are you in? Some sort of aggressive money market fund?".
Of course it won't make the people with a gambling problem (oops, change that to market bulls) happy, but c'est la vie.
I went to lunch at 1 PM (Pacific Time) just after the markets closed, feeling upbeat, took a walk in the gorgeous Southern California weather over to a cafe with outdoor tables, read the newspaper, made plans for the weekend. I think you can expect a serious downturn next week also. Life is good! |
