I pretty much agree with the first part of your post and have notice the contrarian drift in relation to other portals (and 'nets in general). The possible/probable reason(s) for this have been hashed and re-hashed here.

As far being concerned about what the "drift" of GNET means for the charter IPO...I personally don't think it means a whole heck of a lot. GNET and Charter are separate entities (at this point), and I think most investors in the upcoming IPO aren't too concerned about how GNET stock is performing...at least short-term. Looking at the big-picture of what PA is bringing together, how much of it is dependent on Go2Net?
