Diamond Jim,

Yep - saw the ppi, after I woke up. Ho hmmm.... ppi up with tobacco increases to make up for lawsuits, energy up because the cartel raised prices (cheating now underway, as usual, I heard) and autos going for their seasonal attempt at putting a little more in their pockets (won't work - imo - too much competition) - all amount to a great big NUTTIN.

Did you notice that bond rates DID NOT go up but actually declined. 6.3% looks kinda toppy to me.

As usual, we had an overreaction to Alan's comments and to an overvalued ppi statistic. Remember what they say about statistics? There are lies, damn lies and statistics.

In my little industry which puts intermediate products into almost every manufactured product you can buy, I see no chemical prices rising. The opposite is still true. World-wide competition has moved some prices DOWN big time over the last year. Less illegal collusion from the big vitamin manufacturers like Roche, BASF and ADM also helps.

Hey, bwdik.
