<edit> I REALLY like Miles Davis' music. But I must ask - with or without his music, would the world be such a different place? There are very few artists who really shifted our mythology. Picasso. Hemingway. Stravinsky. But the "minors" put color into our leisure time ... but I don't see much more than that. I don't intend to offend your aesthetic choices. Sorry if I did. But the way I see it entertainers are of less consequence than their industry would have us believe. My idols are Engineers.
