JonK., I feel for ya,
Being addicted to S.I. for me simply meant watching the market and reading and writing on many different subjects. But the overlying reason was minute by minute stock updates.

I was closing in on 55-60 hours per week watching Dateks streamer, reading latest press releases, going in and out of various stocks, generally playing the market all day. Every day.
My lower legs began to swell from sitting in the same position day in and day out. Last month hundreds of tiny blood vessels began to explode in my lower legs leaving ugly ,red blotches just beneath the skin.

When I went to the Doctor ,he told me no more sitting for more than 1 hour per day.I told him that was impossible. He suggested that I stand up while trading. The following day, there I was ,standing at my omnipotent monitor when an epiphany came. I realized I was nutz!

Next day,August 27th, I sold everything and closed my account.I'm sitting on my money until early next year and will not become a S.I. Nut again!

It has been two months now. My legs are completely healed and back to normal.I've lost over 25 lbs.I am alive and feel great again.I don't feel guilty about "looking at the world through a monitor" anymore. I miss the action, but less and less every week.

I am not a gambler by nature, so this makes me think there are quite a few people on S.I. that are in the same boat I was.(the 10+ hours per day,not the vasculitis!)So lets hear from you.

Please state how many hours per day and where you trade from.(home, work, school)and what you think constitutes an addictive trading behavior. If you just enjoy the rapore with others beside the investing aspect, lets hear about that.

Thanx,
SjS
