In just one week's time, the spread from positive to negative gains is again very large. It runs all the way from VECO at the top end of the table with an 18 percent gain to last place, PLAB, with a 16 percent loss. There were 17 stocks up for the week and 19 were down. The group sum shows no gain or loss for the week, but the SOX-X is down 1 percent.
