NEW YORK, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Intellicom, Inc. (NASDAQ:GBIT), which provides integrated diversified technology and data communication solutions to corporate and government customers, today announced its intent to acquire Mobile Computing Solutions, a single source provider of mobile computing information technology products and services. MCS, based in Somerset, N.J., specializes in the Virtual Office Environment including wireless data services, hosting services and administration for Client/Server, Internet/Intranet applications and support. The Company markets mobile computing hardware and software products in conjunction with customized mobile services that include product configuration, system integration, consulting, design, installation, maintenance, training, a 24 hour/7 days a week mobile help desk support, network monitoring and management services. MCS began operations in 1992. It is authorized for IBM, Compaq, Toshiba, NEC, Panasonic, HP, Lotus, Microsoft, AT&T Wireless and RAM Mobile Data. The Company is one of Microsoft's exclusive 600 "Partner Level" Solutions Providers, Lotus "Business Partners," and one of AT&T's first "Wireless Data Solutions Partners," allowing it to receive cellular air time commissions and residuals. Unique to MCS is its proprietary software which allows the Company to offer client/server computing services over the Internet. This concept is called Winfinet.
