I worked at Amdahl for 7 years. The last two were during the
great downsizings the company went through. During that time
management consistently misled about the problems and future
of the company. I wouldn't take Amdahl stock now if you gave
it to me. What used to be the company's heart and soul -
mainframe development - is an evaporating market... and they
don't even do their own development anymore. Just some cans
of spray paint and a 'Fujitsu' stencil.

I worked with some very capable, intelligent engineers, both
hardware and software, at Amdahl, and not a one of them is
with the company any more. I would avoid this stock.
