Leland,

Depending on market's conditions, I may choose to either "grind" (for choppy market) or "daytrade" in the traditional sense (for more trending market). The market and the individual stocks determine my trading style.

In regard to MM's jiggles, wiggles, headfakes, etc.., this seems to occur with smaller thinly trade stocks. I also tried not to trade between 12:00PM - 1:30PM. I dont think MMs worry about SOES bandits all day long. They also have buy and sell orders to execute.

In general, I think by "grinding" (if done right), a trader takes less
risk in this kind of market environment.

I only have been SOES trading for a short while now so I cant compare to what it was before. I was concerned when the 100 shares rule came out on Jan. 10 but so far it has not affect my trade as much. Occasionally, I will get partial filled on my 1000 shrs trade. These partial fills dont bother me as long as these fills are not at different prices.

Can you tell me more about your daytrade method? Do you have SOES execution capability? And if you prefer not to scalp then is there a need for you to have SOES capability?

Thanks for your inputs.
