Help me understand why the camera should still cost so much less in Argentina if the manufacturer is selling at the same price? Because of higher duties here in the US?

They found that if they priced their cameras at the same
price all over the world then they would sell well in the USA, and parts of europe, but would be too costly for the
average consumer in second world countries(third world...forget it). So they would sell the cameras for $200 wholesale in the USA and $140 in Argentina.
