Yeah, every time I go to New Orleans lately, it makes me sadder. But the food is just as good. Although I've lost a lot of the ability to digest it. I moved back to New Orleans in 1975 because I was in love with a guy who lived there, he lived with his mother, and she was a very good cook. That was the beginning of my weight problems, I had been chubby before, but I started getting fat on red beans, rice and sausage, friccassee chicken, fried chicken, smothered pork chops, fried oysters, fried shrimp, in fact, when I first moved there I stayed in their basement for a few weeks until I found an apartment, and I got appendicitis, I am sure it was from the New Orleans style food. Normal human digestive systems can't handle it, except as a treat.
Good night, Freddy. |
